Happy to share that two of our papers have been accepted by The Annals of Applied Statistics.
One paper develops Penalized Fast Causal Inference for causal structure learning in high-dimensional sparse biomarker data, with application to biomarker discovery in Parkinson’s disease. Congrats to Samhita Pal and Dhrubajyoti Ghosh! The accompanying R package is available here: https://github.com/SamhitaPal3/PFCI
Paper: https://arxiv.org/abs/2507.00173
The other paper develops spatial causal inference methods in the presence of preferential sampling, motivated by evaluating the impact of marine protected areas on biodiversity. Congrats to Dongjae Son, Brian Reich, Erin Schliep, and David Gill!
